Help Women in Tanzania Build Brighter Futures

Hello everyone,

I’m excited to share that I have the honor of joining 19 other Randstad employees from 12 different countries in a fundraiser aimed at supporting young women in Tanzania’s blue economy sector.

In February we will visit and work alongside these inspiring women whose lives are being transformed by your generosity. Your support empowers them to build careers and brighter futures for their families.

Being a mom and having a career should never be two things that live in silos.
My children are my “why” to strive for more and I know these women are fueled by the same fire.

While there, we'll also be taking on the challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, combining our mission with an incredible personal journey.

Our fundraiser supports the “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in the Blue Economy Sector” project, sponsored by VSO and Randstad.

Your contribution will directly impact 100 young women by:

Enhancing Economic Opportunities: Providing training and access to improve job prospects and economic independence.
Supporting Childcare Needs: Improving childcare services so women can focus on their careers.
Facilitating Market Access and Marketing: Offer structural support, marketing opportunities, and financial assistance, to boost their business success.

What is the Blue Economy?
The blue economy's key industries include fisheries, aquaculture, maritime transport, and coastal tourism. This project aims to help young women actively participate in the blue economy by overcoming significant barriers such as gender discrimination, lack of specialized and financial assistance, limited representation in decision-making, environmental degradation, the impact of unpaid care, and limited time availability.
